Description

More than just a card

Whether as a greeting card, an invitation, or simply sent by mail - greeting cards suit many occasions and have become something special between messengers and emails. They show that someone has taken the time to write a few personal words, a greeting, or simply a small token of appreciation.

With the right design, a card can become more than just a personal message, for example, a small gift that will be kept for a long time.

Japanese Coastlines

Coasts, bays, and sea views: Japanese Coastlines brings together four historical Japanese woodcuts by Katsushika Hokusai and Utagawa Hiroshige.

The selected works depict the Japanese coastal landscape from different perspectives - between calm water, surf, mountains, and vast landscapes. Four small works of art that highlight the special connection between land and sea.

The Motifs - Inspired by Moments by the Water

The Japanese woodblock prints by Katsushika Hokusai and Utagawa Hiroshige continue to fascinate with their clear forms, unique perspectives, and their depiction of the sea and landscapes.

The most famous motif, The Great Wave by Katsushika Hokusai, can now even be found frequently in our everyday lives. But Japanese printmaking has much more to discover.

For our cards, we have selected works that particularly appeal to us due to their depiction of coasts, water, and landscapes – and which we would like to share with you in this way.
