Material Information
Wood is a natural material. Variations in color and grain are natural.
Oak wood may darken upon direct contact with iron or uncoated steel parts. Please ensure suitable fastening materials are used.
The surface is treated with tung oil. After complete curing, the oil is harmless. In rare cases, sensitive individuals may experience skin reactions.

Our products are designed for typical use in leisure and lifestyle settings. Please use them properly and observe any instructions regarding application, care, load capacity, assembly, and materials.

Unless the manufacturer provides specific instructions, we recommend using the product under normal conditions. Please ensure adequate stability and secure fastening, depending on the product type.

For cabinets (e.g. with several drawers), we recommend – especially for freestanding use or in households with children – additional wall mounting to prevent tipping.

A wood with a history

Oak has long been a companion to the coast. For centuries, it was used in shipbuilding – valued for its strength, durability, and its ability to withstand wind, water, and time.

These are precisely the qualities we also appreciate on a smaller scale. For the wall bird, we choose oak for its vibrant grain and the warmth it brings to a room.

It is treated only with pure tung oil. A natural oil that protects, enhances the wood's structure, and preserves its inherent character.

This results in a minimalist bird that focuses on the essentials: material and form.

How is the bird attached to the wall?

There is a saw-tooth hanger on the back, allowing the bird to be easily hung on a nail or screw in the wall. Thanks to the saw-tooth shape, the bird can also be easily aligned at different angles.
What is tung oil?

Tung oil is a natural oil extracted from the seeds of the tung tree. It has long been used to treat wood because it protects the surface while enhancing the wood's natural structure and color.

Unlike varnishes, the surface remains open-pored – the wood still feels like wood.

In addition, the oil gives the wood a subtle, slightly nutty scent.
How does the surface feel?

The wood is sanded several times and treated with pure tung oil. This preserves the natural feel, while the grain is visibly highlighted and the surface feels pleasantly smooth.
How is the bird shipped?

The bird is carefully wrapped in packing paper and shipped in a sturdy cardboard box. We use paper-based parcel tape to seal the box.
