Oak Wall Bird

The oak wall bird, as a subtle detail on the wall, brings a small piece of natural lightness into the room.

The shape, inspired by coastal birds, is lovingly crafted by hand by us, and in combination with the individual grain of the wood, makes each piece unique.

Use suitable screws, wall plugs or nails for mounting, depending on the condition of your wall.

Improper mounting may cause the product to fall and result in damage or injury.


Note on Oak Wood:
Oak wood contains natural tannins.
Direct contact with iron or uncoated steel parts may cause dark discoloration.
Please ensure suitable mounting materials are used.


Surface:
The surface is treated with tung oil.
Once fully cured, the oil is harmless.
In rare cases, very sensitive individuals may experience skin reactions.


Care:
Clean the product with a dry or slightly damp cloth.
Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents.

Our products are designed for typical use in leisure and lifestyle settings. Please use them properly and observe any instructions regarding application, care, load capacity, assembly, and materials.

Unless the manufacturer provides specific instructions, we recommend using the product under normal conditions. Please ensure adequate stability and secure fastening, depending on the product type.

A wood with a history

Oak has long been a companion to the coast. For centuries, it was used in shipbuilding – valued for its strength, durability, and its ability to withstand wind, water, and time.

We appreciate these very same qualities, even on a smaller scale. For our wall bird, we choose oak for its vibrant grain and the warmth the wood brings to a room.

It is treated only with pure tung oil. A natural oil that protects, highlights the wood's structure, and preserves its inherent character.

This results in a minimalist bird that focuses on the essentials: form and material.

How is the bird attached to the wall?

There is a saw-tooth hanger on the back, allowing the bird to be easily hung on a nail or screw in the wall. Thanks to the saw-tooth shape, the bird can also be easily aligned at different angles.
What is tung oil?

Tung oil is a natural oil extracted from the seeds of the tung tree. It has long been used to treat wood because it protects the surface while enhancing the wood's natural structure and color.

Unlike varnishes, the surface remains open-pored – the wood still feels like wood.

In addition, the oil gives the wood a subtle, slightly nutty scent.
How does the surface feel?

The wood is sanded several times and treated with pure tung oil. This preserves the natural feel, while the grain is visibly highlighted and the surface feels pleasantly smooth.
How is the bird shipped?

The bird is carefully wrapped in packing paper and shipped in a sturdy cardboard box. We use paper-based parcel tape to seal the box.
