Wooden Seagull on Stone

With this wooden bird, you can add a small, natural accent.

Inspired by seagulls on rocks, each bird is lovingly handcrafted by us and differs slightly in shape, grain, and surface. The finish with pure, natural tung oil emphasizes the wood grain and subtly highlights the inlaid marquetry.

This product is intended exclusively as a decorative object for indoor display, for example on shelves, in display cabinets or on sideboards.

Safety and Usage Instructions:
This product is not a toy. Please keep out of reach of children.
Place the object on a stable, level surface.
The wooden bird is inserted only and is not permanently fixed to the stone base.
When touched, moved, or placed on an unstable surface, the wooden bird may loosen and fall out.
The underside of the stone is natural and not perfectly level. Under force or vibration, the object may wobble or shift its position.
Always lift the object by the stone base, not by the wooden bird.
Do not place near edges or elevated surfaces from which it could fall.

Product Construction:
The product consists of a decorative wooden bird and a natural stone base.
The wooden bird is inserted into a drilled hole in the stone base using a wooden dowel.
The wooden bird and stone base are not glued together and are delivered separately.
The natural stone used may vary in shape, color, texture, and weight.

Materials:

Wood:
Oak, beech, and in some cases bamboo and birch.
Wood is a natural material. Variations in color, grain, and texture are natural and make each piece unique.

Surface:
The wooden surface is treated with tung oil. Once fully cured, the oil is harmless.
In rare cases, very sensitive individuals may experience skin reactions.
Please avoid prolonged skin contact if you are known to be sensitive to natural oils.

Natural Stone:
The base is made of untreated natural stone.
Shape, surface, and edges are left in their natural state and are not polished.
The underside of the stone is not padded.
For very delicate surfaces, we recommend using a protective underlay if necessary.

Care:
Clean the wooden object with a dry or slightly damp cloth.
Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents.
Wipe the natural stone dry if needed.

Our products are designed for typical use in leisure and lifestyle settings. Please use them properly and observe any instructions regarding application, care, load capacity, assembly, and materials.

Unless the manufacturer provides specific instructions, we recommend using the product under normal conditions. Please ensure adequate stability and secure fastening, depending on the product type.

Our Little Coastal Birds

For us, observing seabirds is one of the most beautiful experiences on and by the water – watching them glide over the sea, drift along, or rest on rocks and the beach.

These moments inspired our little seabirds.

In a minimalist form and crafted from wood, they are intended to bring a piece of the coast into your rooms as a small statement, telling quiet stories of the sea.

The birds are made from woods such as oak and birch, sometimes combined with other woods or bamboo. Oak has long been a companion to the coast. For centuries, it was used in shipbuilding – valued for its strength, durability, and its ability to withstand wind, water, and time. The combination with birch or natural stone creates a subtle contrast to the oak, further emphasizing the bird's form.

The wood is treated only with pure tung oil – a natural oil that protects, enhances the grain, and preserves the wood's character.

Good to know

Tung oil is a natural oil extracted from the seeds of the tung tree. It has long been used to treat wood because it protects the surface while enhancing the wood's natural structure and color.

Unlike varnishes, the surface remains open-pored – the wood still feels like wood.

In addition, the oil gives the wood a subtle, slightly nutty scent.

The wood is sanded several times and treated with pure tung oil. This preserves the natural feel, while the grain is visibly highlighted and the surface feels pleasantly smooth.

Bird and stone are individually and carefully wrapped in packing paper and shipped in a sturdy cardboard box. We use paper-based packing tape to seal the box.
